Banking
Stake  ⎯  2021 – 2026

Project overview

I led end to end design across core banking and verification initiatives for both app and web, including account verification, minor accounts, withdrawal verification, New Zealand verification, and ongoing uplifts to existing money flows. These projects sat at the intersection of compliance, risk, and user experience, requiring thoughtful translation of regulatory requirements into clear, low friction journeys.

Squad design support

From early discovery through to delivery, I partnered closely with product, engineering, and risk to simplify complex states, tighten edge cases, and systemise patterns that could scale across markets. The focus was on strengthening trust in critical money moments while maintaining clarity and usability.

Early prototyping

A key part of my contribution involved developing interactive prototypes to communicate complex design interactions and validate early concepts with stakeholders. Using Figma, I created dynamic prototypes that allowed the team to test assumptions quickly, gather user feedback, and refine designs before handoff. This was a prototype that i created to test early conversations around fastfunds.

By collaborating closely with product managers and engineers, I helped ensure that design solutions were both user-centred and feasible within technical constraints, ultimately improving usability and visual consistency across the banking product suite.

One of the projects I led within the banking squad was Minor accounts where we had around 800 accounts that required age verification for the payment partner Airwallex.

A view of withdrawal verification across all accounts, SMSF had additional requirements for their user types which required us to add in a document upload form.
